Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →

WP PlugIndex currently records AnySync API Products for WooCommerce version 2.3.0 as active, updated 2d ago and tested up to WordPress 7.1.

Overview

About this plugin

AnySync API Products for WooCommerce imports products from a supplier, wholesaler or warehouse API into your store and keeps stock and prices up to date on a schedule. The source can be any REST endpoint that returns JSON, or a URL that returns CSV. You set it up in the WordPress admin: connect the source, match its fields to WooCommerce fields, run the import.

The import and sync jobs run on the AnySync cloud service instead of your own server, so a large catalog does not run into PHP timeouts or memory limits. This means the plugin needs an AnySync account: a 14-day free trial, then a paid subscription. Please read the “External services” section below to see exactly what data is sent and when.

What you need

  • An AnySync account. Start the free trial at https://woocommerce-api-products.com/ and your serial key is emailed to you.
  • A WooCommerce REST API key (Consumer Key and Consumer Secret) with Read/Write permission.
  • A store the internet can reach. The AnySync service connects to your store’s REST API, so a localhost site, or a store behind a password or IP block, will not work.
  • A supplier API or feed URL that returns JSON or CSV.

Connecting a source

  • GET, POST, PUT and DELETE requests
  • API key authentication (header, query parameter or request body) and Bearer tokens
  • Page-based, cursor-based and offset-based pagination
  • A JSON path setting for responses where the product list is nested
  • CSV responses are parsed with the delimiter (comma, semicolon or tab) detected automatically
  • A Test Connection button that shows the API response before you save anything

Mapping fields

The Map tab reads a sample item from your API and lists its fields. You match them to WooCommerce fields:

  • Core: title, short description, description, SKU, categories, tags
  • Pricing: regular price, sale price, sale start and end dates, tax status, tax class
  • Inventory: stock quantity, stock status, backorders, sold individually
  • Shipping: weight, length, width, height, virtual, downloadable
  • Images: product image and gallery images, by URL
  • Other: purchase note, external URL, button text
  • Your store’s global attributes, Advanced Custom Fields fields and other custom meta fields. These are detected from your store, so you do not type meta keys by hand.

Existing products are matched by SKU, so map the SKU field.

Scheduling and sync

  • Sync every 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 6 hours, 12 hours or 24 hours
  • Choose what a sync updates: all mapped fields, stock only, stock and price, or a custom selection of fields
  • Scheduled syncs for a provider pause automatically when you change its field mapping
  • A live progress bar during imports, and a history of each run with created, updated and failed counts

Several suppliers

Add as many providers as you need. Each one has its own endpoint, authentication, field mapping and sync schedule.

Typical uses

  • Dropshipping: import a supplier catalog and refresh stock as often as every 15 minutes.
  • Wholesale: pull a distributor’s catalog into WooCommerce without reformatting spreadsheets by hand.
  • Several warehouses: add one provider per warehouse, each updating its own products.
  • ERP or inventory software with a REST API (SAP, Oracle, custom systems): keep WooCommerce as the storefront and the ERP as the source of truth.
  • Agencies: connect a client’s system to their store.

Limitations

  • Simple products only. Variable and grouped products are not supported yet.
  • The source must be reachable over HTTP(S) and return JSON or CSV. XML, SOAP, FTP and file uploads are not supported.
  • The plugin does nothing without the AnySync service and an active trial or subscription.

External services

This plugin relies on the following third-party/external services. It does not function without the first one, because all API connections, imports and scheduled syncs are performed by the AnySync cloud service rather than on your own server.

AnySync cloud service

com. The plugin is a client for this service: it stores your import configuration and runs the actual API imports and scheduled syncs on your behalf, then pushes the resulting products into your WooCommerce store.

Data is sent to this service in the following situations:

  • When you connect on the Access page: your serial key, your WooCommerce store URL, and your WooCommerce REST API credentials (Consumer Key and Consumer Secret). The credentials are required so the service can create and update products in your store.
  • When you configure a provider on the Define API page: the supplier API endpoint URL, authentication details (API key or Bearer token), pagination settings and JSON path settings you enter for that source.
  • When you save field mappings or sync settings: your mapping and scheduling configuration.
  • When you run or schedule an import, or view import progress and status: requests to start imports and read their status.
  • When checking subscription status or opening the billing pages: your account and subscription identifiers.

Stripe (subscription billing)

When you use Renew Subscription or Manage Subscription on the Access page, the plugin asks the AnySync service for a Stripe-hosted page and opens it in your browser. Payment details are entered on Stripe’s pages, not in the plugin. Nothing is sent to Stripe by the plugin itself.
