Terms for using WP PlugIndex.

1. The service

WP PlugIndex is an independent search, discovery and monitoring service built around public WordPress.org plugin-directory information. It provides search, plugin profiles, Saved plugins, Watched plugins, change history and optional notification delivery. WP PlugIndex is not affiliated with or endorsed by WordPress.org, Automattic or the WordPress Foundation.

2. Accounts and access

Some features require a WordPress-based WP PlugIndex account. You are responsible for keeping your login access secure and for activity carried out through your account. You must provide information that is accurate enough for the service and payment features you choose to use.

3. Saved and Watched plugins

Saved plugins are bookmarks and are not actively monitored simply because they are saved. Watched plugins are actively monitored and can build a What changed history from the point the watch begins. Free accounts may have up to 5 active Watched plugins. Alerts accounts may have up to 25 active Watched plugins. Saved plugins are unlimited under the current plans.

4. Free and Alerts plans

The Free plan includes on-site change information for up to 5 active Watched plugins and does not include automatic external notification delivery. Alerts includes up to 25 active Watched plugins, an optional daily changes-only email digest, and instant Telegram and Discord notifications when those channels are connected and enabled.

5. Alerts price, payment and automatic renewal

Alerts is currently £29.99 per year. It is billed annually through the payment flow shown at checkout and renews annually until cancelled. Paid Memberships Pro manages the membership lifecycle and PayPal processes the payment. The price, billing period and applicable renewal information are shown before purchase and in the membership account area.

You can manage or cancel an active recurring membership through the account controls. Cancellation stops future renewal according to the status and timing shown in your account; it does not erase Saved plugins or existing account data simply because renewal is turned off.

6. What happens when Alerts access ends

If Alerts ends or your account is downgraded to Free, any active watches above the Free limit are suspended rather than deleted. Alerts-only Telegram, Discord and daily email delivery are paused. Existing channel connections may be retained so that you can choose whether to resume them after a later upgrade. Re-subscribing does not create historical notification backfill and does not silently re-enable paused delivery channels; Telegram and Discord require an explicit Resume action and daily email requires an explicit opt-in.

7. Notifications and availability

WP PlugIndex is designed to detect relevant public plugin-directory changes and deliver enabled notifications promptly, but it does not guarantee that every upstream change will be detected immediately or that every email, Telegram or Discord message will arrive without delay. Delivery also depends on WordPress.org and external providers such as email, Telegram, Discord and hosting/network services.

8. Plugin information and external services

Plugin metadata and description content are sourced from public WordPress.org Plugin Directory information, including upstream directory metadata/readme content, and may be delayed, incomplete or changed by the upstream source. WordPress.org requires code, data and images stored in its Plugin Directory to comply with the GPL or a GPL-compatible license. Exact copyright and license terms remain those declared by each upstream plugin and included with its listing, package or readme. WP PlugIndex does not host the plugin packages and does not warrant that a listed plugin is suitable, secure or compatible with your particular website. You should review the original WordPress.org listing and upstream package before installation, redistribution or reuse.

9. Acceptable use

You must not use WP PlugIndex to interfere with the service, bypass reasonable limits, probe private systems without permission, automate abusive traffic, compromise another person's account, or use the service unlawfully. Reasonable technical controls may be used to protect availability and security.

10. Refunds and consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms removes or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights that apply to you. Any refund, cancellation or withdrawal right that the law requires remains available. If you believe a payment needs review, use the legal contact information at the bottom of this page and include enough order information to identify the transaction.

11. Intellectual property and names

WP PlugIndex's own software, branding and presentation remain protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Copyright in upstream plugin materials remains with the respective rights holders. WordPress, plugin names, plugin icons, logos and third-party marks belong to their respective owners. References, source attribution and directory metadata are used to identify and describe public plugin-directory information and do not imply affiliation, endorsement or transfer of ownership. WP PlugIndex does not grant rights beyond those provided by the applicable upstream license.

12. Liability

WP PlugIndex is a directory and monitoring aid, not a substitute for backups, security monitoring, professional advice or your own update testing. To the extent permitted by law, liability for indirect or consequential loss is excluded. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.

13. Changes, suspension and termination

The service and these Terms may change as WP PlugIndex develops. Material changes affecting a paid recurring service will be communicated where required. Access may be limited or terminated for serious misuse, security risk or legal necessity. If the paid service is materially changed or discontinued, any mandatory rights and remedies continue to apply.

14. Applicable law and disputes

These Terms operate subject to the mandatory laws, jurisdiction rules and consumer protections that apply to the service operator and to you. They are not intended to deprive a consumer of protections or court access that cannot lawfully be waived.
