Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →

Overview

About this plugin

Social media planning gets messy when WordPress posts, WooCommerce products, captions, hashtags, UTM links, first-comment notes, campaign dates, and review tasks live in separate documents.

Web Plura Social Draft Planner helps WordPress admins turn site content into local social media drafts before anything is posted. Create captions, organize campaign notes, plan calendar dates, review copy, preview link details, export draft content, and open manual Share It links from wp-admin.

Drafts can start from WordPress posts, pages, WooCommerce products, public custom post types, public URLs, RSS items, or manual topics. The plugin can use local source details such as title, excerpt, permalink, categories, tags, author, featured image, site name, product price, and SKU when available.

A typical workflow is draft, review, preview, then copy, Share It, or export. Planned dates are local planning fields for your content calendar; they do not publish or schedule posts on social networks.

WordPress Social Media Planning Features

Social media workflow problems it helps with

Use the free plugin when you need a local WordPress social media content calendar for:

  • Drafting social captions from posts, pages, WooCommerce products, public custom post types, URLs, RSS items, or manual ideas.
  • Keeping campaign, platform, status, planned time, review owner, due date, and review notes beside each draft.
  • Preparing hashtags, first-comment/manual follow-up text, UTM presets, and link previews before sharing.
  • Reviewing Open Graph and X Card readiness using local WordPress URL metadata.
  • Exporting approved draft content to CSV or JSON for manual posting, client review, or a separate scheduling tool.
  • Opening manual Share It links without storing social OAuth tokens or auto-publishing from WordPress.

Included local features:

  • Social caption drafts for WordPress content, WooCommerce products, public URLs, RSS items, and manual ideas.
  • Content calendar planning with platform, campaign, status, planned time, and manual reshare markers.
  • Review fields for task owner, due date, status, and notes.
  • Templates with source variables, reusable hashtag groups, taxonomy hashtag help, and UTM/link presets.
  • Local previews with link, media, hashtag, Open Graph, and X Card readiness checks.
  • First-comment or manual follow-up text stored with each draft.
  • Manual Share It links for supported social platforms and email.
  • CSV and JSON exports for reviewed draft content.
  • Optional local AI prompt preview and setup validation for loopback or self-hosted endpoints.

The plugin does not publish, schedule, connect social OAuth accounts, or send content to Web Plura Cloud. Users manually share or export reviewed content. Optional telemetry is disabled by default and is not required for local drafting workflows.

Good Fit For

  • WordPress site owners and bloggers planning social captions from existing posts and pages.
  • WooCommerce marketers preparing product posts without automatic publishing.
  • Agencies and content teams organizing campaigns, review tasks, hashtags, UTM links, and exports locally.
  • Administrators who want optional loopback or self-hosted AI prompt previews without hosted Web Plura AI.

External Services

This plugin contacts external URLs only when an administrator uses one of the features below. It does not send local drafts, exports, AI prompts, or Share It data to Web Plura Cloud.

Local AI endpoints: If an administrator enables local AI and clicks preview, test, or generate, WordPress sends the approved prompt, selected source text, brand/context settings, content type, platform, and model name to the configured endpoint. 1:8080/v1/chat/completions ), and administrator-entered loopback OpenAI-compatible endpoints. The endpoint returns generated draft text or an error.

Public URL and RSS imports: If an administrator imports a public URL or RSS feed, WordPress fetches that entered URL to read metadata such as title, description, image URL, feed item link, and excerpt. The destination is the website or feed entered by the administrator. Private, local, and internal network URLs are blocked.

Terms and privacy depend on that entered website or feed.

Manual Share It links: If an administrator opens a Share It link, the browser opens the selected platform or email client with supported draft values in the URL. Depending on the provider, values can include source URL, caption text, hashtags, public media URL, email subject, or email body. com/upload, and email uses a mailto: link.

Optional telemetry: Optional telemetry can be enabled by a site administrator from the plugin telemetry settings. Consent can be withdrawn later from the plugin telemetry settings, and local drafting workflows continue working when telemetry is disabled or unavailable.
