Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →
WP PlugIndex currently records SpeakBot by Sponkly version 1.0.0 as active, updated 6d ago and tested up to WordPress 7.1.
Overview
About this plugin
SpeakBot adds a small chat bubble to your website. Visitors write, call or video call in their own language; your team reads and hears them in yours, translated live by Sponkly. When nobody is available, an AI receptionist answers from the information you give it.
Text chat, voice calls and video calls, translated both ways
An AI receptionist that answers only from your own information
Works with any theme; nothing to configure but the site key
Protected against spam: only your verified websites, a proof-of-work check, limits and blocking
No cookies and no tracking in the widget; calls are never recorded
SpeakBot is part of the Sponkly Business and Enterprise plans. You need a Sponkly account: create a site in the SpeakBot dashboard, add your website’s address there, and paste the site key into Settings → SpeakBot.
