Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →

WP PlugIndex currently records SMNTCS Admin Maintenance version 2.6 as active, updated 1mo ago and tested up to WordPress 7.1.

Overview

About this plugin

SMNTCS Admin Maintenance puts the WordPress admin area into maintenance mode. While it is on, only the user you grant access can log in. Everyone else sees a message on the login screen that the admin area is in maintenance mode.

This is useful when you migrate a site, run large updates or change settings that other editors should not touch in the meantime. The front end of your site stays online the whole time.

Features

  • Turn admin maintenance mode on and off in the Customizer
  • Choose the one user who can still log in
  • The public site stays available

“Tested up to” is directory metadata supplied by the plugin author. WP PlugIndex does not turn an older declaration into a claim that the plugin is incompatible.
