Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →

WP PlugIndex currently records Phaerixa Discovery Forensics & Indexing version 1.3.6 as active, updated 1d ago and tested up to WordPress 7.1.

Overview

About this plugin

Why isn’t this page appearing in Google?

A page disappears from search. A setting changes. A sitemap looks fine, but an important URL is still missing.

Where do you start?

Phaerixa helps you investigate indexing problems instead of guessing. It scans your site’s search-facing signals, records important changes, and builds a clear evidence trail for individual URLs. See what is wrong, what may have caused it, and where to look next.

Unlike a basic SEO checklist, Phaerixa connects diagnostics with site history. And unlike an automated repair tool, the free version doesn’t silently change your indexing settings.

See your site’s indexability at a glance

The Indexability Score (0–100) summarises findings from a local scan. Prioritise issues by severity, address them, and run another scan to see what has improved. The score reflects local technical checks, not Google’s actual index coverage or a guarantee of rankings.

Find problems before they become mysteries

txt and existing sitemap for issues that may affect crawling and indexing. Results include understandable explanations and suggested fix paths.

Follow the evidence

The Change Ledger records search-relevant changes such as noindex directives, canonical URLs, slugs, publishing status and other indexing signals. When an issue appears, you can look back at what changed and when.

Investigate a specific URL

Use the Investigator to assemble a Page Dossier: HTTP response, robots signals, canonical, sitemap presence, internal-link evidence and other available local signals. Its step-by-step decision path helps explain why a page may be blocked, redirected, canonicalised or otherwise difficult to index.

Manage your essential SEO metadata

Phaerixa also includes a core SEO toolkit:

  • Meta titles and descriptions, including reusable patterns and previews
  • Open Graph and Twitter/X social metadata
  • Canonical and noindex controls
  • JSON-LD schema options
  • Robots.txt controls and checks of your existing sitemap
  • Per-post and per-page SEO panels, including support for Classic Editor, Block Editor and Elementor
  • Content and SEO checks for applicable custom post types

Phaerixa checks the sitemap already published by WordPress or another plugin; it does not create a separate sitemap.

Free versus Pro

Free gives you local diagnostics, Indexability Score, the Change Ledger, Investigator, Page Dossiers and the core SEO toolkit. No Google account is required. The free version checks your own site and does not connect to an external analytics or search service.

Phaerixa Pro, supplied as a separate download, adds:

  • Google Search Console integration: bring Google’s available coverage and performance information into the investigation
  • URL Inspection: compare Google’s reported information with local findings
  • Redirect management: manage 301/302/307 redirects, with supporting tools
  • Fix verification: follow up on indexing-related changes using available Google data
  • Trend history: review how indexability and issue counts develop over time
  • Bot honeypot: identify requests to hidden trap URLs and optionally block them
  • Scheduled Search Console syncing: refresh connected data via WP-Cron

Google indexing and ranking decisions remain Google’s. Phaerixa helps explain the evidence and direct your next steps; it cannot guarantee a page will appear in search results.

Start here: activate Phaerixa, complete the setup wizard, run Diagnostics, then open the Investigator for any URL that needs attention.

Uninstall

When you delete Phaerixa from the Plugins screen, the uninstall script runs automatically. If “Remove data on uninstall” is enabled in Settings, all plugin data is removed from your WordPress database, including:

  • All plugin settings and options prefixed with phrx_
  • The stored licence record

The uninstall script does not delete:

  • Any site content — posts, pages, users, media, or other plugin data

External Services

The free version contacts no external service. It only requests your own website (below). The Google and licence services listed here are used by Phaerixa Pro only, a separate download that is not part of this plugin.

com ) — Phaerixa Pro only. Pro connects to the Google Search Console API v3 and the URL Inspection API to fetch your site’s coverage and performance data, to list the properties your Google account can access, and to submit your sitemap when you ask it to. What is sent: your site’s own URLs (the pages being inspected), your chosen property, and the OAuth token issued to your own Google Cloud project.

This requires you to create a Google Cloud project and complete the OAuth2 authorisation flow in Settings; nothing is transmitted until you connect a property, and the plugin never sends visitor data.

com ) — Phaerixa Pro only; the free version never contacts it. Used only when you press “Request indexing” for a page in the post editor. What is sent: the single URL you selected, plus the OAuth token from your own Google Cloud project.

No other data is transmitted, and nothing is sent automatically or on a schedule. Same Terms and Privacy Policy as above.

txt and sitemap over HTTP in order to inspect what a search engine would see (page content, response codes, redirects and headers). These requests go to your own domain only. No data leaves your server.

Licence validation — Phaerixa Pro only. eu solely to verify your Pro licence key. Only your licence key, plugin slug, and site URL are transmitted.

No visitor data, site content, or scan results are sent. This only occurs when you manually activate or deactivate a licence from Settings.

Privacy

Phaerixa stores its data in your own WordPress database. It does not use cookies, does not track visitors, and sends nothing to Rob Art | Illustration.

What the free plugin records: the Change Ledger stores site state — which page changed, what the old and new values were, and when. That is content and settings data, not personal data. The scanner and Investigator read your own pages and store their findings locally.

Personal data: the bot honeypot (a Pro feature) records the IP address and browser user agent of requests that hit a hidden bait URL, so those crawlers can be identified and blocked. That is personal data under GDPR. It is stored only in your database, is never transmitted anywhere, and can be removed at any time by deleting an entry from the Honeypot screen.

The free build contains no honeypot and records no IP addresses.

Google Search Console (Pro only): when you connect a property in Phaerixa Pro, the OAuth tokens issued to your own Google Cloud project are stored in your database so the plugin can fetch your data. Revoking the connection in Settings deletes them. See the External Services section above for exactly what is sent to Google.

Uninstalling the plugin removes its data — see the Uninstall section.
