Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →

WP PlugIndex currently records PaidSeal — Invoices, Payments & Quote Forms version 1.0.13 as active, updated 1mo ago and tested up to WordPress 7.1.

Overview

About this plugin

PaidSeal is a free WordPress invoicing and payments plugin. Add a Pay button, a Request-a-Quote form, or a Client Portal to any page or post — with a block or a shortcode, no code required. Your customers pay by card, PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, bank transfer, or a local method like M-Pesa and MTN MoMo, and the money lands in your own account.

Unlike a single-gateway payment plugin, PaidSeal lets you accept any payment method on Earth and send professional invoices and estimates from one place. Set-up is one click: Connect PaidSeal — there are no API keys to copy and no card data ever touches your website.

What you can add to your site

  • Pay button — let a customer pay a specific invoice. Pick the invoice from a dropdown; no IDs to paste.
  • Request-a-Quote form — capture leads; new enquiries are emailed straight to you.
  • Client Portal — a page where a client sees all their invoices and payment history.

Why WordPress owners choose PaidSeal

  • Get paid by any method — cards, PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, bank transfer, and local rails like M-Pesa, MTN MoMo and Orange Money.
  • One-click pages — a button in Settings builds a ready page with the block already placed. No searching, no code.
  • AI invoicing — draft a complete invoice from one sentence in PaidSeal, then drop a Pay button on your site.
  • Your money, your account — PaidSeal never holds your funds; payouts go to your connected account.
  • Secure by design — payments happen on PaidSeal’s hosted, PCI-compliant page. The plugin stores only a publishable connection key.
  • Works in English, Spanish and French out of the box.

How it works

  • Install and activate PaidSeal.
  • Go to the PaidSeal menu and click Connect PaidSeal (a free account is created during Connect if you don’t have one).
  • Click Create page — PaidSeal builds a ready page with the block placed. Pick the invoice or client, publish, done.

com). The free plan sends real invoices with working payment links.

Blocks & shortcodes

Blocks: PaidSeal Pay Button, Request a Quote, Client Portal.

Shortcodes for existing pages:

  • [paidseal_pay id="INVOICE_ID"] — a Pay button for one invoice.
  • [paidseal_quote] — a quote-request form; leads are emailed to you.
  • [paidseal_portal client="CLIENT_ID"] — a client’s invoice portal.

For developers

When an invoice is paid, PaidSeal sends a signed webhook to your site and the plugin fires WordPress hooks you can use to unlock content, notify a CRM, send an email, etc. )

add_action( 'paidseal_invoice_paid', function ( $data ) { /* invoice fully paid: $data['invoice']['number'], ['amount'], ['currency'] */ } ); add_action( 'paidseal_payment', function ( $data ) { /* any payment received */ } );<h3>Privacy</h3>

The plugin renders the Pay/Portal buttons and the quote form on your own server — no third-party script runs in your visitors’ browsers. Payment pages are hosted by PaidSeal; no card data is processed on your site. The plugin stores only a publishable connection key.

External services

This plugin connects to the PaidSeal service (operated by Zenith Intelligence Technologies) to provide invoicing, payments and quote widgets. This connection is required for the plugin to work.

What is sent, and when:

  • On Connect, your site performs a one-time secure handshake with app.paidseal.com to obtain a connection key. No WordPress passwords are sent.
  • In the block editor, inserting a Pay or Portal block asks app.paidseal.com for your own invoice/client list (authenticated server-side with your secret key) so you can pick from a dropdown.
  • On the front end, the Pay and Portal buttons are links to PaidSeal’s hosted pages (payment happens on PaidSeal’s PCI-compliant page — no card data touches your site). The quote form submits to your own site, which then forwards the lead (name, email, message) to app.paidseal.com server-to-server. No third-party script runs in the visitor’s browser.
  • PaidSeal sends your site an “invoice paid” webhook so your theme or other plugins can react.
