About this plugin

Requirements
On the website that manages your newsletter:
- wpNewsletterGermany Pro or Enterprise, version 2.2.0 or later
- The module “REST interface” switched on

External services
This plugin connects to one website only: the one you enter under Settings → Newsletter signup. de.
- When a visitor submits the form, the email address, any further fields the visitor filled in (name, address) and the consent wording are sent to that website so that it can send the confirmation email and store the subscription.
- When you save the settings or click “Check connection”, and at most every twelve hours afterwards, the plugin asks that website for its version and whether the key is valid. No visitor data is sent.
- If you switch on the optional DNS check, the server of this website asks its DNS resolver whether the domain of the submitted address has a mail server (MX or A record). Only the domain is looked up, not the address.
Nothing is sent before you have entered the address and the key. The privacy policy of the receiving website applies; as its operator you know it.
