Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →

WP PlugIndex currently records Range Slider For Contact Form 7 version 1.0 as active, updated 4mo ago and tested up to WordPress 7.0.

Why Use Range Slider For Contact Form 7?

Standard Contact Form 7 does not include a range slider field out of the box. This plugin fills that gap by registering a native [range_slider] form tag directly inside the CF7 tag generator — the same familiar interface you already use. Configure everything visually, click “Insert Tag”, and you are done.

FREE Features

  • Single Range Slider — Add a clean, single-handle slider field to any Contact Form 7 form.
  • Min & Max Range — Define the minimum and maximum numeric boundaries of the slider.
  • Set Default Slider Value — Pre-select a starting value so the slider is never empty on page load.
  • Show / Hide Tooltip — Optionally display a tooltip above the slider handle showing the current value as the user drags it.
  • Show / Hide Range Label — Toggle the min and max labels displayed at each end of the slider track.
  • Required Field Validation — Mark the slider field as required; CF7 will block form submission and display an error if the field is left at its default empty state.
  • Custom ID & Class — Assign a custom HTML id and/or class to the slider wrapper for easy CSS styling or JavaScript targeting.
  • Seamless CF7 Tag Generator Integration — Configure the slider entirely through the familiar Contact Form 7 tag generator panel — no manual shortcode editing needed.
  • Mail Tag Support — The selected slider value is available as a mail tag so you can include it in CF7 email notifications and auto-replies.
  • Mobile Friendly — The slider is fully touch-enabled and responsive, working smoothly on phones and tablets.
  • Lightweight — Loads only a single minified JS file and a single minified CSS file on the front end.

🔒 PRO Version Features

The following features are available exclusively in the Pro (Premium) version of Range Slider For Contact Form 7. They are visible but locked in the free plugin’s tag generator.

1. Double Range Slider

g. a price range of $200–$800). The double slider outputs both the lower and upper values to the form — perfect for booking filters, budget selectors, and age-range inputs.

2. Step Value Control

g. a step of 10 means the slider snaps to 0, 10, 20, 30 … rather than every integer). This is essential when you need the user to select from a fixed set of values rather than an arbitrary number.
