Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →
WP PlugIndex currently records JRT Database and File Migrator version 1.1.0 as active, updated 1mo ago and tested up to WordPress 7.0.
Overview
About this plugin
JRT Database and File Migrator moves WordPress databases between environments without corrupted serialized data, timeouts, or guesswork.
Features
Export any selection of database tables to a SQL file (optionally gzip-compressed)
Find & replace on the way out — PHP-serialized and JSON values are rewritten safely with corrected string lengths
Import a SQL file back into any site, including one that uses a different table prefix
Chunked, resumable processing: large databases never hit PHP timeouts, and an interrupted job resumes where it stopped
Push & pull your database directly between two connected sites over signed requests
Transfer media uploads, themes and plugins alongside the database — only new and changed files are sent
Destination checks are run before a transfer starts, so a server that cannot receive files says so up front instead of failing halfway
Automatic safety backup before every import and pull
Saved profiles: store a configuration once, re-run it in one click
