About this plugin
IzichangePay adds a crypto payment gateway to WooCommerce. The customer pays in cryptocurrency and the order is confirmed automatically through a signed webhook.
- Hosted checkout (redirect) or on-site modal (embed.js)
- Cryptocurrencies and currencies loaded from the public IzichangePay catalog
- Confirmation through a signed webhook (HMAC-SHA256)
- Works with both the block-based Checkout and the classic shortcode checkout
- Compatible with HPOS (High-Performance Order Storage)
This plugin requires WooCommerce to be installed and active.
12 or later. On an older version, the gateway stays hidden at checkout and a notice is shown in the admin.
External services
This plugin connects to the IzichangePay payment service to create and confirm cryptocurrency payments. IzichangePay is the payment provider behind this plugin; using the gateway requires an IzichangePay merchant account.
com otherwise.
The plugin contacts these endpoints:
-
Payment intent creation — POST /v1/payment-intents on the configured API URL.
When a customer places an order with this gateway, the plugin sends the order
amount, currency, accepted cryptocurrencies, the order id and return URL, and an
idempotency key, in order to obtain a payment link. Triggered at checkout.
Payment intent status — GET /v1/payment-intents/{id} on the same URL. When a
customer retries the payment of an order, the plugin sends the id of the previous
payment to check whether it is still open. No personal data is sent.
Merchant cryptocurrencies — GET /v1/merchant-assets on the same URL, with your
API key. Called only when the gateway settings screen is displayed, to list the
cryptocurrencies enabled on your IzichangePay account. Requires the optional
merchants:read permission on the key; without it, the catalog is shown read-only.
-
Public catalogs — GET /v1/public/assets and GET /v1/public/fiat-currencies
on the same URL. No personal data is sent; responses are cached for
6 hours. Used in the admin settings to list supported cryptocurrencies and to
determine whether the store currency is supported.
-
Embedded checkout widget — when the “On-site modal” mode is enabled, the script
js is loaded from the IzichangePay checkout origin returned in the payment
link, to render the payment modal on the order-pay page.
IzichangePay also sends signed webhooks back to your store (HMAC-SHA256) to confirm
payment and mark the order as paid.
