Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →

WP PlugIndex currently records Hourvia – Employee Timesheets & Job Site Time Tracking version 1.3.0 as active, updated 29d ago and tested up to WordPress 7.1.

Overview

About this plugin

Manage employee timesheets directly inside WordPress.

Hourvia is a WordPress timesheet plugin designed for small businesses, tradespeople, contractors and field teams.

Employees submit their weekly working hours from a simple mobile-friendly portal, while managers can review, approve, request corrections and export timesheets.

Unlike a basic time tracker, Hourvia can also record the job site and vehicle used for each work period, making it especially useful for teams working across multiple locations.

No external SaaS is required. Hourvia Free stores timesheet data directly in your WordPress database.

Ideal for

  • Construction and building companies.
  • Electricians and installers.
  • Maintenance and service teams.
  • Tradespeople and contractors.
  • Small businesses with employees working on different job sites.
  • Teams that need weekly timesheets rather than simple clock-in / clock-out tracking.

How Hourvia works

  • Employees log in to the WordPress site.
  • They enter their morning and afternoon working hours.
  • Each work period can be linked to a job site and vehicle.
  • Employees submit their weekly timesheet.
  • Managers review the timesheet in WordPress.
  • Managers approve it, request corrections or unlock it if necessary.
  • Records can be exported to CSV.

  • Mobile-friendly interface for smartphones, tablets and desktop devices.

Built for mobile employees

Hourvia’s employee interface is designed for workers who may complete their timesheets directly from a smartphone.

Employees can quickly select job sites and vehicles, enter their working hours and review previously submitted timesheets without using the WordPress administration area.

Job site and vehicle tracking

Hourvia is particularly useful for businesses whose employees move between different locations.

Morning and afternoon periods can each have their own job site and vehicle.

Additional interventions can also be added when an employee works at several locations during the same day.

Manager approval workflow

Managers can:

  • Review submitted employee timesheets.
  • Approve timesheets.
  • Request corrections.
  • Unlock approved timesheets when necessary.
  • View status history.
  • Export records to CSV.

Self-hosted WordPress timesheets

Hourvia Free does not require an external SaaS platform.

Timesheet information remains stored in the site’s WordPress database, giving the site administrator control over the data and hosting environment.

Languages

The employee-facing portal defaults to French so existing French installations keep the same experience after updating.

From the Hourvia settings screen, an authorized manager can choose:

  • French.
  • English.
  • WordPress site language.

When WordPress site language is selected, French WordPress locales use French and other locales currently fall back to English.

Shortcodes

[hourvia_timesheet_form]

[hourvia_my_timesheets]

Privacy

Hourvia stores the information required for timesheets in the WordPress database, including working hours, job sites, vehicles, statuses and associated WordPress users.

Hourvia Free does not send this timesheet information to a third-party service.

The site administrator remains responsible for informing users, defining appropriate retention periods and complying with the rules that apply to their organization.
