About this plugin
What was the #1 song the day you were born? This plugin embeds a small, fun tool on your site: a visitor picks their birthday and instantly sees the Billboard Hot 100 number-one single for that exact chart week — from 1959 all the way through 2025 — with a one-tap link to play it.
Perfect for music blogs, nostalgia sites, class-reunion and alumni pages, birthday and party-planning posts, and classroom pages.
- Free forever — no account, no API key, no ads, and no tracking of your visitors.
- Accurate — the real Billboard Hot 100 #1 for the visitor’s exact chart week, not a year-end average.
- Covers 1959–2025 — every week of the Hot 100.
- Lightweight — a single responsive iframe, no heavy scripts loaded on your pages.
- Three ways to add it — a block, a shortcode, or a classic widget.
- Matches your site — dark or light theme, your own accent colour, and your own heading.
Three widgets, one plugin
- #1 Song On Your Birthday — a visitor picks any date and sees the Billboard #1 for that exact chart week. Works for birthdays, anniversaries, wedding days, and graduations.
- Today’s Flashback — a different retro song every day, with the year and a link to play it. Set it once; it never goes stale.
- Question of the Day — a fresh retro music debate daily (“Walkman or Discman?”). Great comment bait.
The daily widgets update on our side, so there is nothing to maintain — paste once and your page stays fresh forever.
The tools are provided by G33Z3R Radio, a Gen-X music-memory site. We host no music — the play buttons link out to Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.
