Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →

WP PlugIndex currently records Email Notice for WP Document Revisions version 4.0.0 as active, updated 1h ago and tested up to WordPress 7.1.

Migration Notice

Upgrading to 4.0.0

  • The email logs (Document Emails menu) and the External List part of the Document metabox now need the new read_doc_ext_lists capability (previously edit_documents).
  • On upgrade, read_doc_ext_lists is given to every role and user that has edit_doc_ext_lists. Give it to any other role or user that needs this access, e.g. Authors who send External List emails.
  • Sending External List emails needs read_doc_ext_lists as well as the right to edit the Document. Only users with edit_doc_ext_lists can choose which matched Lists to send to.
  • If you chose Auto for “Internal Notice mode” (Settings > Writing), choose it again and save: since 3.2 it was stored as Manual.
