Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →
WP PlugIndex currently records Dovi Widget Usage for Elementor version 1.1.2 as active, updated 23d ago and tested up to WordPress 7.1.
Overview
About this plugin
Most Elementor sites end up with two or three addon packs installed and no idea which widgets are really in use. This plugin reads every published post, page and template built with Elementor and answers that question.
Tools > Widget Usage shows:
Every widget type in use, how many instances, on how many posts, and which plugin provides it
The same rolled up by plugin, so you can see at a glance whether an addon earns its place
A per-post view with an “Edit in Elementor” button for each entry
Widgets whose addon is deactivated or deleted, flagged as “Not registered” — those pages are rendering empty placeholders right now
Settings from known addons (Ultimate Addons, Essential Addons, Premium Addons, Extras for Elementor and others) that are actually set on an element, so extensions like sticky or parallax show up even though they are not widgets
One-click CSV export
It reads Elementor’s data. It never changes it.

“Tested up to” is directory metadata supplied by the plugin author. WP PlugIndex does not turn an older declaration into a claim that the plugin is incompatible.
