Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →

Overview

About this plugin

Divisero lets your WooCommerce store show prices in your shopper’s own currency and take payment in that currency, while your books stay in your store currency. Every feature on this page is in the free plugin, with no limit on the number of currencies.

  • Product page: propluginslab.io
  • Documentation: docs.propluginslab.io/divisero-multicurrency-for-woocommerce
  • Support: propluginslab.io/support

The name comes from the Italian and Latin divisa, foreign currency.

What it does

  • Unlimited currencies from the full ISO 4217 list, plus custom currencies with your own code, name and symbol.
  • Display settings per currency: symbol, symbol position, decimals, thousand and decimal separators and flag. Zero decimal currencies such as JPY and KRW and three decimal currencies such as KWD and BHD work correctly everywhere, including the amounts sent to payment gateways.
  • Real checkout in the shopper’s currency. The cart, mini cart, shipping, coupons, taxes and the order are all in that currency. Or choose to charge in your store currency and show the converted prices as approximate.
  • Exchange rates entered by hand, or updated automatically from the European Central Bank on a schedule you pick (off until you switch it on). Add a markup per currency, and keep any rate fixed while the others update.
  • Rounding per currency: up, down or to the nearest step (0.01 to 10), and price endings such as.99,.95,.90 or 9. Rounding only touches converted prices.
  • Currency by country: geolocation with WooCommerce’s own MaxMind database or your CDN’s country header (Cloudflare, CloudFront), a country to currency map you can change, and an optional switch on the billing country at checkout.
  • A switcher everywhere: block, shortcode [divisero_switcher], classic widget, a Currency switcher item you place anywhere in Appearance, Menus, floating switcher and product page switcher, in four styles (dropdown, buttons, flags, compact), with a live preview. It works without JavaScript too.
  • Amounts and a converter in your content: [divisero_convert amount="25"] shows an amount in the shopper’s currency, [divisero_rates] a table of your exchange rates, and [divisero_converter] a small currency converter for shoppers.
  • Payment methods that can take the currency. Divisero knows which currencies more than 25 popular gateways accept, hides the ones that cannot take the shopper’s currency on the classic and the block checkout, and lets you set a fallback currency, so a shopper is told “PayPal cannot take payments in Kenyan shilling (KES). You will pay 54.20 USD instead.” before paying, never after a failed payment. Express buttons from Stripe (Apple Pay, Google Pay) and PayPal get the right currency or stay hidden.
  • Works with page caches out of the box. Divisero detects WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache, W3 Total Cache, WP Super Cache, WP-Optimize and 15 other caches, CDNs and hosts, and picks the mode that shows the right currency: one cached copy per currency where the cache supports it, or prices corrected in the browser right after a cached page loads. A “Test now” button checks it.
  • Setup wizard that detects your store, suggests currencies from your shipping zones and fills in sensible defaults.
  • Health check in plain words for currencies, rates, payment methods, cache, other currency plugins and geolocation, each with a fix or a link.
  • Import from other currency plugins: FOX Currency Switcher (WOOCS), CURCY, Aelia Currency Switcher, YayCurrency, WPML Multicurrency and Price Based on Country. Their settings are only read, never changed.
  • Accurate books. Every order stores its currency, the exchange rate used and its totals in your store currency, shown in a Currency details box on the order screen. The orders list has a currency column and filter.
  • Built for WooCommerce today: HPOS, the Cart and Checkout blocks, the Store API, the price filter block and widget, Action Scheduler and WooCommerce Subscriptions (renewals are charged in the currency of the first order).
  • Works with the ProPluginsLab plugins Mercenza, Plusero, Presentero, Inputo, Kitero, Anticipo, Affireo, Recovero, Storefold and Visuaro, and with Product Add-Ons, Name Your Price and Elementor.
  • Its own admin menu and built in documentation: Divisero has a menu of its own, with an item for every screen, the setup wizard, and a Documentation page that explains every option, with a search box.
  • Developer friendly: functions, filters and actions for everything, WP-CLI commands, settings export and import as JSON.
  • Private by default. Nothing is sent anywhere until you switch on automatic rates. No tracking, no statistics.

Divisero Pro

Divisero Pro adds fixed prices per product and currency with a bulk editor and CSV import, more exchange rate services with hourly updates, rate history and alerts, currency rules by language, role, customer and URL, SEO currency URLs, fixed coupon and shipping amounts per currency, multicurrency reports and admin orders in any currency. It is a one-time payment. See Divisero Pro.

External services

Divisero works without any outside service. It connects to one only when you switch it on, and it never sends anything about your shoppers.

European Central Bank (exchange rates)

The European Central Bank (ECB) publishes official reference exchange rates for about 30 currencies once every working day. Divisero uses them to update your exchange rates automatically.

When: only when you switch on “Update exchange rates automatically” under Divisero, Exchange rates (it is off by default) with the European Central Bank as the service. Divisero then downloads the rates on the schedule you pick (twice a day, once a day or once a week), when you press “Update now”, and once right after you add a currency while automatic updates are on.

xml. No data about your store, your products, your orders or your shoppers is sent. As with any web request, the ECB sees the IP address of your server.

This service is provided by the European Central Bank:

  • Terms of use: https://www.ecb.europa.eu/services/using-our-site/disclaimer/html/index.en.html
  • Privacy policy: https://www.ecb.europa.eu/services/data-protection/html/index.en.html

Links to payment providers (nothing is sent)

The “Payment methods and currencies” grid shows a “Source” link for each payment method: the provider’s own page about the currencies it accepts (for example PayPal, Stripe, Square, Mollie, Klarna, Amazon Pay or Flutterwave). These are ordinary links that an administrator can click to read that page. Divisero never connects to these addresses and sends nothing to them.

Requests to your own site

The “Test now” button under Divisero, Cache loads one of your own product pages in each currency to check what your page cache returns. It only contacts your own site, and only when you press the button.

Divisero calls no geolocation service: the shopper’s country comes from WooCommerce’s MaxMind database stored on your own server, or from the country header your CDN already adds to each request. Flags are bundled with the plugin. io; nothing is sent to them.
