Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →

WP PlugIndex currently records Chargebacks911 version 1.0.0 as active, updated 4d ago and tested up to WordPress 7.1.

Overview

About this plugin

Chargebacks911 connects your WooCommerce store to the Chargebacks911 service so you can catch disputes early,

respond before they escalate to chargebacks, and track dispute activity.

This plugin connects to a hosted service. Alerts and reports require a paid Chargebacks911 subscription; the plugin itself

is complete and has no locked features.

How it works

  • Activate the plugin and go to WooCommerce > Chargebacks911.
  • Click Open Chargebacks911. The app opens in a new tab.
  • The first time, WooCommerce asks you to approve read-only access. After you approve, the app walks you through

setup: confirm your business details, add your payment descriptors, choose alert coverage, and start monitoring.

  • After setup, the same button opens your Chargebacks911 reports, billing, and settings.

External services

com), operated by Chargebacks911, to

provide pre-chargeback alerts and dispute reporting. It is not functional without it. Nothing is sent when you

activate the plugin.

What is sent, and when:

  • When you click Open Chargebacks911 for the first time: your WooCommerce store ID, the app reference built into

the plugin, and your wp-admin address are sent to Chargebacks911, which returns you to WooCommerce’s own approval

screen. If you approve read-only access, WooCommerce creates an API key and sends it to Chargebacks911, which uses

it to confirm your store and read your store’s name, address, and email. You can revoke the key any time under

WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > REST API; deactivating the plugin deletes it.

  • Each time you click Open Chargebacks911 afterwards: your store ID, the app reference, your wp-admin address,

your admin language, the current time, a random one-time value, and your WordPress user ID, email address, and first

and last name are sent, signed with your store’s API key secret, to open the app. The secret itself is never sent.

Anything you enter in the app (business details, payment descriptors, alert coverage, billing) is sent directly to

Chargebacks911.

  • When you deactivate the plugin: if the store is connected, your store ID, the app reference, and the current

time are sent, signed with your store’s API key secret, so the connection is deactivated.
