Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →

WP PlugIndex currently records CartQuota – Minimum Weight for WooCommerce version 1.3.3 as active, updated 10h ago and tested up to WordPress 7.1.

Overview

About this plugin

CartQuota – Minimum Weight for WooCommerce helps stores protect shipping margins by requiring the combined weight of shippable cart items to reach a configurable minimum.

Customers see a clear progress indicator showing their current cart weight, the required minimum, and how much more they need to add. Quantity changes update the indicator immediately and are then verified against the WooCommerce cart session.

Features

  • Configurable minimum cart weight in kilograms, with a default of 10 kg.
  • On/off switch that disables enforcement without deactivating the plugin.
  • Accessible progress indicator for the cart, mini-cart, and checkout.
  • Immediate quantity-change preview followed by server verification.
  • Support for classic cart and checkout templates.
  • Support for WooCommerce Cart and Checkout Blocks.
  • Store API validation for headless and Store API checkout clients.
  • Server-side checks before checkout, order creation, and payment.
  • Settings access for administrators and WooCommerce Shop Managers.
  • Automatic conversion from the store’s configured product-weight unit to kilograms.
  • Compatibility declarations for High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS).

The plugin uses standard WordPress and WooCommerce APIs. It does not create custom database tables, load third-party services, display advertising, or collect analytics.

Products must have an accurate weight configured in WooCommerce. Only shippable, non-virtual products with a weight contribute to the minimum.

Privacy

The plugin does not collect, transmit, or sell personal data. It processes product weights and cart quantities within the WordPress/WooCommerce installation. No data is sent to the plugin author or any third party.

On uninstall, the plugin removes its configuration options. Existing private order-weight snapshots are retained with their related orders to preserve historical order integrity.
