About this plugin
Anps Estimator adds an instant-estimate calculator to a service business website. A visitor answers a few short questions on their phone, leaves their contact details, and sees a price range worked out from the prices you enter. You get the lead by email with every answer and the estimate they saw.
It is built for the people who make websites for local businesses: pick a template for the trade, enter the business’s own prices, place the calculator on a page, done.
What it does
- Ready-made question flows (templates) for 30 trades and professions: heating and cooling (United States, United Kingdom), plumbing, electrical, painting and decorating, roofing, flooring and tiling, windows and doors, kitchen and bathroom fitting, landscaping, cleaning, moving, solar panels, web and software agencies, IT support, photography and video, translation, graphic design, architects and interior design, consultants and coaches, tax advisers, accountants (United Kingdom), lawyers (United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Europe) and notaries (United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Europe). Each comes with suggested prices you change to your own.
- Your own services: a guided builder turns a description of your work, how you price it and what you ask into a calculator when no template fits.
- Packages side by side (for example Good, Better, Best), shown as a price range, a starting price, a monthly payment or no price at all, with an itemised breakdown where the template uses one.
- As many calculators as you need, and several services in one calculator: the visitor first picks what they need.
- A price editor for your own prices: price tables by size and type, fixed prices, prices per unit, adjustments for difficult installs, rebates, rounding, financing and the width of the range. Paste a table straight from a spreadsheet.
- A price tester: answer the questions in the admin and see exactly how every line was priced.
- Leads in the admin: search and filter, full details, status and notes, CSV export that is safe to open in spreadsheet programs. A request is saved from the first answered step, so you still have something when a visitor drops out.
- A service area: list the postcodes you serve, and visitors outside it get your own “we will get back to you” message instead of a price.
- Email notifications to you and, if you want, a copy of the estimate to the visitor.
- Works with any theme: an “Estimate calculator” block and Elementor widget that show the live calculator while you edit, on the page or as a popup button; a floating “Get an estimate” button; a ready page per calculator for ads and QR codes; a shortcode for other page builders.
- Works on page-cached sites. The calculator does not rely on WordPress nonces.
- Mobile first, keyboard accessible, and it inherits your site’s font. You choose the brand colour, corner style and dark mode.
- Translation ready, with German, French, Spanish and Italian included.
What it does not do
- It does not invent prices. Every amount comes from the price list you enter. The templates ship with suggested prices, a starting point you change to your own; they are not official tariffs or market data.
- It is not a form builder. The questions of each template are fixed; you can rename them, hide optional ones and choose which options to offer.
Privacy
Leads are stored in your own WordPress database. Visitor IP addresses are never stored; rate limiting uses a salted hash that changes daily. You can set how long leads are kept, and the plugin adds its data to the WordPress personal data export and erase tools.
Uploaded files, where used, are stored in the database with their lead, never as files in the uploads folder, and are shown only to logged-in users who may view leads.
Anps Estimator Pro
Nothing in this free edition is locked or time-limited. Anps Estimator Pro is a separate plugin that adds more: two more services for most templates (for example heat pumps, furnaces and ductless systems next to air-conditioner replacement) and a German notary fee-table template, photo upload, AI reading of equipment labels and visitor messages with your own API key, webhooks to your CRM, a funnel report, import and export of calculators between sites, a pricing-manager role and white-label.

Source code
The JavaScript in assets/build/ is compiled. Its human-readable source ships with the plugin in assets/src/: the admin app ( admin/ ), the calculator widget ( widget/, written in Preact) and the block ( block/ ), with the widget’s styles in assets/src/design/. It is built with @wordpress/scripts (webpack and Babel).
js are the build files; they expect the sources in plugin/assets/src/ and the styles in design/ beside them, so place the files in that layout, then run npm install and npm run build. The PHP is not compiled; the third-party PHP libraries in vendor-prefixed/ are only renamed into the plugin’s namespace with Strauss.
External services
This plugin connects to no external service by default. It makes no outbound requests, loads no remote scripts, fonts or images, and contains no tracking.
One optional feature changes that, and only if you switch it on yourself. In Settings > Spam protection you can pick a robot check and enter that service’s own keys. Until you do, nothing is loaded from either service and nothing is sent to them.
- Cloudflare Turnstile. The calculator loads Cloudflare’s script (https://challenges.cloudflare.com/turnstile/v0/api.js) in visitors’ browsers, and each new lead is checked with Cloudflare’s siteverify service (https://challenges.cloudflare.com/turnstile/v0/siteverify). Only the challenge token and your secret key are sent. Cloudflare’s terms: https://www.cloudflare.com/website-terms/ and privacy policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/
- Google reCAPTCHA v3. The calculator loads Google’s script (https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api.js) in visitors’ browsers, and each new lead is checked with Google’s siteverify service (https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api/siteverify).
